This dish is perfect if you are in a hurry and it should be more than steamed potatoes . . . don’t take me wrong! I LOVE my steamy goodness . . . but sometimes it has to be more tangy and spicy like steamy dishes.


125 g smoked tofu , chopped in triangles 

1 large onion , in slices 

1 small red bell pepper , in pieces

1 small radicio , in slices



1 garlic glove

2 Tblsp maple sirup

2 Tblsp dark sweet soja sauce 

2 Tblsp lemon juice

1 Tblsp rice vinegar

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp old bay spice

1/2 cup of water

Mix it very well and set aside.

In a very hot pan ( I use ceramic ones , so I can stir stuff without oil ) heat a dash of water and sauté the onions until they have some colour , put the bell pepper and the radicio in the pan and drizzle some water over it – let it set for a wile and pour the tofu in wile gentle stir.

Now toss the teriyaki sauce in and reduce the heat , cover with a lid and let it simmer for 5 min.

Serve it with rice or rice noodles – as I prefer for this dish! – garnish with cilantro , sesame seeds , Sriracha and some lemon – ENJOY!!!!
